OCEA signs the first OCEA Classic 85


OCEA shipyard, located in Les Sables d'Olonne on the French Atlantic Coast and builder of the OCEA Commuter Yacht Series, has signed a contract for the first OCEA Classic 85 to be delivered for the summer 2008.

The OCEA Classic 85 is designed by the naval architect office Joubert-Nivelt.

Conform to the design brief of all OCEA Yachts; the OCEA Classic 85 is designed to cruise extensively and to the most secluded places. The OCEA Classic 85 distinctive design feature is a spacious panoramic saloon located behind the bridge and surrounded by full height windows.

Her main characteristics are:

  • Length overall: 26.50 m
  • Hull length: 23.95 m
  • Breadth: 7.20 m
  • Max Draft: 1.80 m
  • Displacement: 100 t
  • Max speed 12.7 kts / Cruising 9.0 kts
  • Range: 3000 miles @ 9 kts
  • Motorisation: 2 x 330 bhp
  • Certification: CE - categorie A
  • 1 Owner's stateroom
  • 3 Guest staterooms
  • Crew quarters for 4

In addition to this new order; two OCEA Commuter are currently under construction at OCEA Shipyard. They are scheduled for delivery in the spring and the summer 2007.
